Wayne Pugh, search committee chairman, reported that the committee has met on several occasions with Dr. Paul Dixon to discuss and further refine the search process.  He noted that one of Dr. Dixon’s roles during his service as an interim pulpit supply is to serve as an advisor/counselor to the committee, helping them to improve their process and suggesting additional methods for finding the man God has for Bible Center.  Wayne noted that the committee has revamped some of the materials used to contact perspective applicants and indicated that representatives of the committee recently visited an applicants’ church to hear the man in his own pulpit and observe the nature and atmosphere of the church service. Additionally, the committee is evaluating four other ministries and currently has plans to visit three of those ministries.  He encouraged the congregation to continue to remember the committee in their prayers and to pray for God’s direction in the search process.
