Sermon Series

About the Series

January-March 2023

God’s Glorious Church is built around Ephesians 4 and will focus on becoming a more unified, equipped, and mature church for the glory of God and an increasing impact on our state.

“Equipped” gives us a look at how we are designed as people. From how we were created, to how followers of Jesus are uniquely gifted to be part of God’s mission here on earth, God has a purpose and design for all of us. You matter and you were made to participate in what God is doing in the world. We’ll discover our unique place within the body of Christ.

Generosity is Normal

Scripture References: 2 Corinthians 8:1-9

From Series: "The Thread Between"

As followers of Jesus, we can look back on our lives and point to specific moments in which the Lord worked in our lives or in our church in unique—and even sometimes, miraculous—ways. Those moments are significant. They stand out in our memories, and they give us fuel to keep moving forward when things get difficult. The evidence of God’s work in our lives leads us to celebrate those moments and to even long for the next one, praying that God will continue to do unique things in our lives and in the life of our church. Many times, as we look at those high points, we miss the everyday, ongoing process of faithfully following Jesus. The practice of allowing Jesus to transform us through His Word, gathering with other Christians, and investing faithfully in His work can get lost as we search for the next big moment. But it’s that consistent, faithful approach—continually valuing the things Jesus sees as important—and the implementation of making those habits a part of our lives that brings the space and opportunity for God to do unique and special things through us. It’s the thread between the moments.
